Meet San Jose Chiropractor Dr. Jessica Paige

I just wish I had known then what I know now…

I am not sure if crawling into the chiropractor for the first time and walking out was how chiropractic chose me.  I suffered a nasty back injury during basketball season my sophomore year which landed me on the adjusting table the first time.  Most people would be amazed how I could barely walk on the way in and how I left the office upright.  However what was most intriguing and appealing to me about my experience, was how care was not just about the adjustment alone but about the bigger picture of living the wellness lifestyle.  Not only was I able to return to basketball quickly, but getting adjusted regularly was great prevention for tennis and lacrosse (my other varsity sports) and improved my performance.

After graduating from Union College in Upstate New York, I packed my things and drove across country to San Jose to attend Palmer West Chiropractic College.  I have to admit, the weather was very appealing when I was making my choice about which school to attend.  I was initially surprised at how grueling the course work is considering I heard from many people in New York that chiropractors "they aren't real doctors."  After three and a half years and a million tests, exams, practicals and boards later, I am very happy with the education I received at Palmer West.  Working at the Outreach Clinics while in school provided me with life changing experiences.  Just seeing the gratitude on a child's face, the healing which had occurred and their overall improved health over time with chiropractic care was amazing!

My purpose in practice is to help my patients achieve their optimal health so they in turn have quality time and improved relationships with the people they love.  I look to educate and empower people about their health to make responsible decisions.  Chiropractic care is about living a lifestyle of wellness.  When making optimal recommendations about care programs, I treat all my patients as if they are someone in my family.  Because I want them to have the best care possible!  My practice consists of families, athletes both professionally and weekend warriors, and from toddlers to people enjoying retirement.  Just to share some deeply fulfilling moments of practice certainly consist of seeing a child run to the table to be adjusted and then pretending to adjust their teddy bear or having athletes come in third place at an event when they had previously been told they should never run again.

When not in the office, you will find me coaching for the San Jose Extreme high school lacrosse team, playing soccer or involved in community events.  I have helped City Team with their coat drive and feeding the homeless on Thanksgiving, donating my time adjusting participants of the Avon Breast Cancer Walk, and collecting toys for the Marines Toys for Tots drive.

I get adjusted once a week, I exercise 4-5 days a week, I do not own any bottles of Advil, Tylenol, Motrin, or Excedrin!  Not just following but living the chiropractic lifestyle I recommend for my family, friends and patients is a priority of mine!

Enough about me! I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. Dr. Jessica Asks some important questions of interest to San Jose residents - Chiropractor San Jose Dr. Jessica Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
